Before Marketing Your Property

When you are selling your property, you must present it in its best and most appealing light. You only get one chance at a first impression.

Purchasers usually form their first impression within 30 seconds. If you want them to get out of the car, the best place to start is where the buyers start: at the street. Potential buyers base a large part of their decision on a property's "street cred," so make your property say something positive. Give them a great first impression.

Take a step back and view your home through a buyer's eyes. The following checklist is a guide to help you maximise your sale price. Have fun with it and try to remember it is all part of setting the stage.
